Roxbourne Nursery
Welcome to Roxbourne’s School-Based Nursery
Roxbourne’s School-Based Nursery is a warm, purposeful setting for children aged 9 months to 4 years, uniquely situated within our thriving primary school. We are proud to be the only School-Based Nursery in the London Borough of Harrow, giving our youngest learners a beautifully seamless start to school life.
We currently operate term time only, in line with Roxbourne Primary School’s academic calendar.
What makes us different
-
Part of a high-performing school: Children benefit from joining an established, popular and high-performing school, in a high-performing borough in London's leafy suburbs.
-
Specialist spaces: Children in our nursery benefit from the Main School's specialist spaces (halls, fields, music rooms, libraries and cookery spaces).
-
Specialist staff: The expert Singing, Music, PE and Dance Teachers from our Main School will visit our youngest pupils weekly to further enrich our Nursery curriculum and offer.
-
A gentle, research-informed start: Our provision is shaped by the EYFS, with rich, play-based learning that builds language, early maths, creativity and self-confidence.
-
Beautiful, purposeful environments: We have invested over £50,000 on the best early years furniture and resourcing from Community Playthings. Our natural classrooms support exploration, independence and joy.
Our rooms
-
Babies (9–24 months): Nurturing, sensory-rich spaces with warm, responsive care and plenty of floor time for exploration.
-
Toddlers (2–3 years): Language-soaked play, early mark-making, music and movement, and growing independence.
-
Nursery (3–4 years): A vibrant pre-school curriculum that develops early reading, writing and maths through purposeful play, stories, outdoor learning and projects.
A day at our nursery
Children enjoy a balanced rhythm of free play and small-group time, outdoor learning, songs and stories, rest, and mealtimes that encourage healthy habits and social skills. Every child has a named key person who champions their wellbeing and progress.

We are Ofsted-registered and committed to robust safeguarding, high staff-to-child ratios, and ongoing professional development.
