YR & Y1 Drama Workshop

Tuesday 17TH March 2015

On Tuesday, Jen from the drama company ‘Perform’ came into school to do a jungle animal drama workshop with Reception and Year 1. The children and staff thoroughly enjoyed a wonderfully energetic time exploring the theme of the jungle, using drama, dance and singing to help develop their confidence, concentration and social skills. Perform hold regular weekly classes in the local area and this information is given on the certificates the children took home. If you want more information please see Miss Mackay.

YR visit to Rayners Lane

Reception thoroughly enjoyed their trip to the local Greengrocers earlier this week. They looked at various fruits and vegetables and talked about their colour, texture and shape. They also made vegetable kebabs and the children tried a variety of vegetables. This visit was connected to the children’s recent work on the book ’The Enormous Turnip’.

RK Valentine’s Assembly

The children showed the cards they had made and sang a song about love. They also recited a poem and a prayer about looking after their Mums and Dads. After the assembly they served refreshments to their parents, offering them the biscuits they had made.
