Roxbourne Primary School

PSHE / Citizenship

Children begin to acquire the knowledge, skills and understanding they need to lead confident, healthy, independent lives and to become informed, active, responsible citizens. They develop their knowledge and respect for each other’s lives, beliefs and cultures. They begin to understand how to build and foster good relationships with others. They are encouraged to develop a healthy and safer lifestyle. It may be necessary to increase knowledge and awareness of sensitive issues as part of this.

Sex and Relationship Education (SRE)

At Roxbourne Primary School, the PSHE Policy includes an introduction to Sex and Relationship Education. The Sex Education Policy is available in school. There is a whole school focus on developing a shared understanding of the importance of caring, respectful relationships with friends and family.
