Pupil Leadership
In Year 6, part of the additional responsibilities given to children, are the roles of House and Sports Captains.
In the first half term Year 6 ran an election to choose their House Captains and Sports Captains. All children who wanted to run for one of these prestigious roles had to write a speech, which they presented to Year 6, explaining why they would be a good candidate for this role.
Role of a House Captain
Collecting, analysing and presenting house points for the four houses: Huskies, Kangaroos, Wagtails and Robins.
Supporting Mrs Ansell and/or Mr Williamson with the organisation of the certificates for Celebration Assembly.
Collecting and delivering registers.
Supporting the librarian during breaktimes and lunchtimes.
Supporting with the organisation of fundraising events.
Role of a Sports Leader
Playground Buddies – supporting the younger children and new children to Roxbourne.
Refereeing during playtimes.
Supporting with giving out and collecting of sports equipment.
Plan and lead Sports Week / Day
Organise sporting fundraising events.
Lead peer reading.
Pupil Voice on the playground.
