Sat 6TH July - Roxbourne School Summer Fair

Last year FORC organized its first summer fair. It was an epic event enjoyed by Roxbourne and the local community. This year we will be back bigger and better! So,

Friday Snack Stalls

This year FORC will hold Friday snack stalls once a fortnight.

To help share the responsibilities, we will be asking each year group to volunteer to help run one snack stall. This will only be once per year group in the summer term.

If you can take an hour out to help support us, please contact us by email or the school office.

FORC – Friends of Roxbourne Community goes live!

I wanted to say a big thank you to all the committee members of FORC and all the parents who have supported this important initiative. They have only been established for 4 weeks, and have already delivered two fantastic Friday Snack Stalls! I know they are also busy planning our first Saturday Summer Fair. I can’t wait!

The main functions of the PTA / FORC will be:

  • to advise the school on parental views (and provide feedback)
  • to be a forum through which the school consults parents
  • to generate income for the school through organising fundraising and social events
  • to decide how this income should be spent (for example, improving the playground)

Secretary Role

We are looking for a new committee member, for the role of secretary. If you are committed to helping improve our school, have good communication skills and are interested in joining us please e-mail to or leave your name and contact details at the school office. Any further questions about the FORC or the role please contact us through the office.

Summer Fair Boards - Saturday 14TH July 2018

FORC are fortunate to have struck a deal with a local estate agent. They will be supporting FORC by placing estate agent boards at local houses promoting our Summer Fair. These boards will be placed at your property 3-6 weeks prior to the event and will then be removed again by the agent in the week after the event.

FORC will receive a significant financial reward for placing these boards, which is a fantastic boost in our drive to raise money which will be spent on the school playground.

Have a look on News/Events page HERE!

How you can help?

We are compiling a list of addresses of families who are willing to display a board for this year’s Summer Fair. We are hoping that 30-50 families will agree to have boards up.

Please email with your name, address and the name of your child(ren) to let us know if you are happy to support FORC and display a board outside your home – it will be much appreciated!
