Mon 8TH July - Year 1 Trip to Zoroastrian Centre
On Monday, the children in Year 1 went to visit the Zoroastrian Centre as part of their R.E. topic. The children learnt about the Zoroastrainism religion with a special slide show and how it originated 3500 years ago. They saw the Zoroastrian symbol called a Faravahar and their Holy Book called the Avesta. The highlight of the visit was when the children were taken upstairs to the fire temple where there was a real fire burning! The people at the Centre were very hospitable and made it a lovely, educational experience for the children.

Mon 1ST July - Year 2 Buddhist Temple Trip
On Monday, Year 2 had the opportunity to visit a Buddhist temple. We felt it was an enlightening experience! Our tour guide provided us with some insight on the Buddha and his teachings. We toured the entire building and got the chance to ask lots of questions. We learnt a lot on this visit and to top it off we were given some snacks.
Mon 1ST July - Year 1 (Bath) Trip to Woodlands Adventure Forest School
On Tuesday, 1 Bath went to the Forest school which gave our children experiences of being part of a forest. As part of our science focus, we identified and named a variety of common wild and garden plants and leaves. We had an amazing time and carried out lots of fascinating activities.
Wed 26TH June - Year 5 Taster Day Harrow High School
Year 5 had a fun and educational visit to Harrow High School where they had the opportunity to explore the life of being a secondary school pupil. They had taster lessons in a wide range of subjects including Business Studies, Psychology, Spanish, Design Technology and lots more. The children thoroughly enjoyed Chemistry in particular, where they experienced using Bunsen burners and exploring static electricity!
Tues 25TH June - Year 5 (Liverpool) J & C Sings Choir Festival
Year 5 Liverpool had a fantastic time singing alongside other local primary school choirs at Priestmead Primary School. They gave an incredible performance of ‘Hey Mr Miller’ and ‘Best Day of My Life’ despite feeling a bit nervous. Their singing and enthusiasm was so impressive that they were presented with the award for ‘Most Dynamic Choir’. The concert ended with a performance of ‘A Million Dreams’ sung by all the attending choirs. A big thank you to all the children and staff who gave up their time to attend this wonderful event.
Tues 25TH June - Y1 (Bristol) Trip to Woodlands Forest School
As part of our Science topic, 1 Bristol went on an adventure to the Forest School near Stanmore. The Forest School staff took them on an exploration to learn about different type of leaves, and showed them how to use different materials to create a Gruffalo and friendship bracelets. The children had lots of fun exploring the forest and playing Woodland games.
Mon 24TH June - Y4 Trip to London Central Mosque

Children from year 6 and year 5 visited Bannister sports ground to take part in Harrow’s annual borough athletics. They competed in a number of events against other schools in the borough. It was a thoroughly enjoyable day and we were very lucky that the weather held up. Well done to all the athletes who took part.
Wed 19TH June - Roxbourne Music Festival
Tues 18TH & Mon 24TH June - Y5 Trip to Gurdwara Southall
Year 5 had the opportunity to visit Gudwara Sri Guru Singh Sahbha. We felt it was an enlightening experience! Our tour guide provided us with the history of Sikhism and began to explain the basics of Sikh philosophy. We toured the entire building and had access to the kitchens and prayer hall. We learnt a lot on this visit and to top it off we were invited to eat some langar – community kitchen.
Fri 14TH - Mon 17TH June - Y5 & Y6 Residential PGL (Windmill Hill)
Over the weekend Roxbourne had their second annual residential for year 6 children as well as a group of year 5s. It was a great but tiring weekend where the children and adults had a tremendous amount of fun. We set off on Friday morning with some very sad (and possibly excited) parents waving goodbye, and arrived back on Monday afternoon to parents welcoming us back. Thank you for all of your support and to the adults who gave up their weekend to make the trip happen.
Wed 12TH June - Reception Visit St Andrew's Church
On Wednesday reception were very fortunate to visit St Andrews Church. Priest Linden greatest us and gave us and informative tour of his place of worship. We learnt so much information and even got to ring one of the church bells. It was a thoroughly enjoyable trip.
Wed 5TH June - Healthy Cooks Workshop - (For 6 Weeks)
Sessions are being held on Wednesday, 5TH June, 12TH June, 19TH June, 26TH June, 3RD July and 10TH July. Meena Parmar, our Early Support Practioner, will be showing parents how to make healthy choices with regards to food and treats. On the menu is how to make fruit kebabs and yogurt smoothies! The cost for the course will be £3 (50p per session). 9am – 11am. We look forward to seeing you! If you require any further information, please contact the school office.
Tues 4TH June - Parent Info Session for the PGL Residential
We will be holding two Parent Information Sessions on this day to share the final arrangements for our second residential to PGL. These sessions will take place at 15:25 and 18:00. If your child is attending the residential, please try to make every effort to attend. Looking forward to what is going to be a very exciting long weekend away!

Fri 24TH May - Year 4 Trip to Snow Centre
Year 4 had the exciting opportunity to try skiing or snowboarding. Everyone was able to participate in one of these sports, where we had professional instructors guide us on the slopes. Children got a taster of some skills required in these winter sports and many have expressed an interest to continue them. Even all adults had a wonderful experience and look forward to taking future Year 4 children to the snow centre. Thank you to all parents who supported us throughout the day.
