Y6 Reading and Writing Booster Lessons
In order to support and best prepare Y6 children for the important tests they will write in May 2018, we are inviting a small group of children to attend two booster sessions each week. At the end of Y6 in 2017, our mathematics results were very strong. 80% of our children achieved the Expected Standard in their SATs tests, compared to the national average of 75%. However, we know that our reading and writing data was not as strong and many parents have asked me to offer more reading and writing support for our children. We have listed and acted! Our Y6 booster lessons will be focused on reading and writing and they will be running before school on Tuesdays and Thursdays, from 08:00 – 08:40. Myself, Mrs Ansell, Miss Naughton, Mr Elliott-Rey and Miss Dobinson will be running the Booster Lessons.
